I have several Lyman 30 1/2 sights. (I've not been fortunate enough to come across a 29 1/2.) Most of my sights have the early long base, but one has the later short base. Does anyone have a definitive date, or date range, as to when the change was made? I'm thinking it was after WWII, but that's just an educated guess on my part.

Thanks.

My guess is post WWII. I don't have anything to back that up. The last ones just say LYMAN.

Not sure why they went to the trouble to change it.
