To all, A heartfelt Thank you. Maybe the internet is not the place to place such personal trajedies but nevertheless your responses will be given to my friend.
My friend has had a very rough 2 or 3 years. First he he had cancer of the lymph nodes and the good Lord came within minutes of punching his ticket. Last year his wife died of a massive stroke and was gone in a second. Now this.

My condolences. I agree with those who say that ignoring the problem will not solve it. Integration was supposed to lift them to our level. Sadly, it has dragged us down to theirs.

Interesting: Usually, Cosby is really good at calling for proper behavior from young blacks. Oprah, on the other hand, is a firts class apologist for any/all black failings. As long as the celebrity black community accepts the bad behavior of young blacks....it will continue.
Perhaps the problem is lack of guts: Black youth do not have the guts to do what is right....and the black community at large does not have the guts to expect/require that they do right.
What can/should we do......dunno!
