I hate shopping for mattresses. Wife's wanting a new one but nothing stresses me out like mattress shopping. I never seem to get it right. I've bought some expensive ones and still prefer to sleep on the couch.
My try a higher end sleep number this time. The adjustable bases seem really overpriced.

I had a Casper. I liked it. After about 10 years it was beginning to get some wallowed out spots. Replaced it with a Nectar. It has been good so far, but I slightly preferred the Casper

Bb Basic wood platform does the job I just built 2 boxes out of OSB. I used 2 to cut the weight and make them easier to handle. I made them to get the height we wanted. I wasn't about to pay what they wanted for a plastic foundation. It's just a box.

I suggest you avoid Foster and Stearns, or Stearns and Foster. Mine was expensive but after five months of use, the side where I'd get in bed was getting "broken down? "and also the mattress had a noticeable sag of about five inches where I sleep. The 10 year warranty was apparently for some other mattress or somebody else. I'd hoped the ratings and price were indicative of longevity. Rotating it end for end helped, but ,Dang, that suckers heavy. I'm following this thread with interest.

Harbor Springs Mattress Co. Hand made old School mattress. You can flip it. 25 year warranty. We bought a purple, it's ok in the guest room now. Back always was sore in the morning, Not anymore.

I have a Purple. Would recommend. Yes, I hear this is the way to go. Might try one in our new camp trailer. Wondering if that would be a good fit for that application. We purchased a purple mattress for my son. He loves it. I may have to try it while he’s away at college, since he can’t use it in his dorm room.
