I just picked up a 223/20 barrel D series to put with my 24's that I'm selling--It's 2 receivers with (2) 222/20 barrels,(1) 357max barrel,(1) 223/20 barrel and a 410/410 barrel.Going to the Lakeland gun show next month.
I have had a couple, both shot less than acceptable. They went down the road. I liked the idea of two, calibers in one rifle, just had bad luck with the accuracy. I'm not up on pricing of them, seems a couple hundred high, at least in my area!
i just bought it's great grand father. .34 over 20g/.50 smoothbore but to answer the question, they aren't making savage 24d's anymore. they are printing money so fast that tomorrow that 900 will be 100.

the consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of that ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded. Robert E Lee ~Molɔ̀ːn Labé Skýla~
