I have a tank that I plan on using to catch some of the rain water from a downspout for watering my garden.

What I would like to know is if there is an additive to keep mosquitos from using it for breeding.

It was suggested that a bit of chlorine would stop them but how much is too much? Or is there a better solution?

I use a Solar Fountain to aerate my bird bath it keeps O2 in the water preventing mosquitos. Plus it's cool Google Solar-powered fountain for about $12 on Amazon.

Could also do what we use to do in Boy Scouts...2-3 drops of bleach per gal of water. Even safe to drink....most of us are still alive.

Yep. They spliced the BT gene from bacteria into the corn. You know. GMO.

Not sure which strain of BT they used as the gene source.
