Kinda makes you wonder why the geniuses that own the IMR label would drop it .

Same as most business decisions, more money was to be made using production capacity for better selling powders.

Kinda makes you wonder why the geniuses that own the IMR label would drop it . Everyone wants to buy what is newest latest greatest.. and could care less about what has been working fine for decades. I have about 6 pounds of it, left to stretch out my shooting days with.

One of my favorite powders in 223, 308, 30-30, ,17 rem it measures so damn nice compared to Varget. Easy to work up loads for, no need to sneak up to max in these rounds. I wish I would have known they were going to put the kybosh on it.
I would have got him too but a Dad Blam snow flake hit me in da eye....

Its my favorite in my 243 with 62gr varmint grenades. Same POI as my 95BT. They put a hurt on varmints.

I wish I would have known they were going to put the kybosh on it. That's my complaint also ,had I known it was going away I would have ordered a case of 8 pounders . I have enough to last me the rest of my life in the two cartridges I will use it in but I have two sons who also use it and would have bought more if they had given notice that it would be discontinued. Same with Winchester 680 , it just disappeared with no warning. By the time I knew they were dropped there was none on the shelves anywhere I looked. Imr 4320 is like IMR 3031 , it works in anything and is the best powder in many. Would also add that although not discontinued (as far as I know) the powders that are closest to replacing the 4320 are not currently to be had either. You cant find most of the hot shot powders that are being used to replace these old reliable powders they are discontinuing.

Kinda makes you wonder why the geniuses that own the IMR label would drop it . Pints of craft said: 'Think of it in the same category as Reloader 15, Varget, 748 & BLC-2 Slower than 4064 but faster than 4350 Great powder - sad it’s discontinued but happy I still have a stash of the old forest green label goodness'. I'm guessing with so many options out there something had to give. kwg

I finally sold this 600. It was starting to hurt my old shoulder. But it loved this load...
350 RM Remington 600, 250 grain Hornady, 9 1/2M, 56 grains IMR4320, 0.35 MOA
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

I've always thought I was the reason they quit making a certain powder all the time...
Because it seems as soon as I find a certain powder that works real well in several applications and start using it, Satan notices that, and contacts the manufacturer and tells them to quit making it, OR ELSE, the world will experience Armageddon....never fails..
