I'm selling a 59-60 vintage Model 70 chambered in .270 Win. I received it in a trade and haven't shot it yet. Overall it looks to be in fair/good condition. If the weather cools off this week I'll shoot it and see how she does. Will come with the scope/mounts/rings. And if I end up shooting it I'll throw some ammo in with it. I thought about rebarrelling it but I can't bring myself to tear it apart.

$1500 shipped.

Prices seem to be all over the place on these rifles.

Please don't tear it apart if it is an original. The 270 fwt is pretty sought after because they did not make as many. Sell it to someone that will appreciate it for what it is and use it out in the field. .. Where are you located? Not just 'the foothills of the sierra Nevada's". That is where I'm at too, but that is wide and broad..

No idea...I got it from a friend in a trade. I think it was a family member of his but besides that I don't know.

Very well carried. No pictures of the floor plate, but I'll bet most of the finish is worn off. Pictures suck balls. I wish guys would use imgur. These small azzed pictures add nothing to a wts thread like this. Use IMGUR!!!! No, I'm not bashing, just suggesting. I get nothing from these pics at all. It's like a language barrier only in pictures. I can't see it well enough to even pick it apart or get a feel of its history, use abuse, originality, and care. Almost worthless.. OP, do yourself a favor and check out the other thread where a guy sells a rifle and the buyer is not happy at all because the pictures did not show the full features of the rifle. You don't want to be that guy.

Maybe a true collector can learn more from the pics but I didn't think they were that bad , minus not seeing the floor plate.
Good luck with your sale

I'd bet it is going to shoot. Finish looks a little worn to me on the stock, and the metal looks fine overall, although it's missing the hood and rear sight I believe. I think 1500 is a bit steep for the later model P64 FWT's myself in that condition, at 1000 bucks I think it'd be a better seller, but you never know, it might be exactly what someone is looking for.

A rifle like that is such a great candidate for a quality synthetic stock in my book. Not a better all around rifle made.

Are you looking at them on your phone? Because on a computer they are full size and clear, just need to click on them to make them bigger.
