Growing up Pop (paternal grandfather) always had Speakman shower heads. He has a REALLY nice tiled shower stall with glass door in the room I stayed in. I needed to replace a shower head here so ordered the new plastic version. WOW! Really nice, even without removing the flow restrictor. Lots of pressure, just like I remember.

Speakman Hotel

They have these at the YMCA in Marion (where they have amazing tiled shower stalls, surprisingly) and I love them so I ordered one for [bleep] and giggles. Lots of volume and pressure here too.

Delta Essentials

I know wimmens love the handheld and rainfall schidt but that's not my style. So... What do you use/like?

Rainfall/Pan along with a wall mount that can be hand held as well.

I have several original chrome Speakman heads probably from the 50s I salvaged from my grandparents house. You are correct, they are excellent heads.

We just installed a Moen shower and tub set in my Son's house. Thankfully the water wall was on the other side of the bathroom closet because I had to cut a hole in the back to replace the valve and the connection for the faucet and the shower head .... pan head, rainfall type with a stainless separate handle and hose.

Really really nice once I finally got it installed after tiling the tub to ceiling on top of a 70 year old cast iron tub.

I'm thinking of putting-in a similar set in one of our bathrooms. I like the who rainfall type flat pan head shower set-up with the separate handle and hose.

Had to order a 120 mm diamond hole saw to make the install but it was worth it in the end. Turned-out great.

That's admitting you use it to rinse off the starfish bidet-style. Won't admit to how I know this...

Those probably have a 2.5K gal/min flow rate. Pre-EPA and all.

No rain style head here. I don't want to feel a drizzle, I want some force behind my showers.

Might be a WaterPic or similar in both showers. Couple of different squirters in them. I think one, maybe both, has that pulse massage scheidt that rarely if ever gets used.

Hey Jim, no favorite throw pillow mfg, as long as it ain't the one Flave used I'll be OK.

Yep. They do put out a serious volume of water.

I just yanked out the flow restrictor out (bit more complicated than your normal shower head) and now it's easily twice the flow rate. Just like I remember at Pop's house. Helluva shower I'm in for.

The Speakman linked above you'd REALLY like. Here's how that particular flow restrictor needs to be removed: Flow Restrictor Removal Video

Now you done it. I'm taking this thread down a notch. Jimbo, write this down:

Get in shower, soak hair stubble on dome, soak everything else, re-soak dome, apply cheap conditioner to dome (Tresemme or Suave, whatever is cheap), shave head, rinse head, soap (Dial Gold or Ivory or Irish Spring) to pits, bits, ass crack and everything above the neck, rinse top to bottom. Done. If I've been outside working, on the boat or put on sunscreen, then everything gets soaped.

I do keep a toothbrush and toothpaste in the shower in case I want to brush.

Last time I had "Lavender" anything it was from a pot shop in WA state.
