Have had like 5 or 6 haul azz across the tracks on me.
Like the little fugga,s got a rocket on their azz..🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😄😄😄
Ain't cutting no nuts on the usual trees

Have stood in 3 or 4 spots hearing one barking up in a tree.
Can't see the little sunsabytches thru all the leaf cover.
Been walking and stopping for about an hour so far

Gonna walk another hour up the tracks and turn around.
Seen a anorexic coon skinny as fugg, probably this years kit.
Ain't bad out not sweating about 70° 0 wind.
The woods really ain't woke up yet.
No one is tree rat hunting IMO. ain't heard a shot and I'm right off the Cumberland bottoms, can hear shots both side of the river.
With 0 wind hearing shots should be easy.

I killed a pair this morning with my open sighted 10-22 just riding through the woods on my UTV. Once it cools down a bit, I'll take the old Remington 511 out and see how many I can kill. Shotgunning them is too easy.

Using 6.50 a bx of 10 2.75" 1.5 oz #5,,s turkey loads for tree rats

And the 935 Turkey gun.
Little overkill...
But more is better with all these leaves and new branch growth on the trees.
If one of the little pricks would just give me a shot and stop playing stump the dummy with me..

Track crosser about 30 yds out.
Running ...
Shot about 2 ft behind it.

Then to add insult to injury recrossed the tracks like 15 seconds later about 50 or 60 yds out going back..

The thing I most remember about early squirrel hunting is sitting against a tree with a .22 - and plagued by hordes of skeeters. I was always so eager to get out there but then gave it up after one miserable trip - until frost not only put down the skeeters but also most of the leaves.

We don't have squirrel hunting in Utah; not many tree squirrels.

Aint seen any fox squirrels yet.

Probably having a bowl of tard o,s in the nest still after a night of pondering the riddles of cold fusion

A dumb ole corkinstien fox squirrel would be a welcome chance right now.

I was at the range this mornng, in a WMA, and it sounded like WWIII all around me. I could hear kids yelling, and all that.
I'm glad someone took their little crumb crunchers out for a morning in the woods, but there's not a lot of tree rats around there.

Makes like 9 or 10 so far.
Still gotta walk back when I turn around.
Been seeing alot of deer coming out of the corn fields on the bottoms.
Good % of em does with twins.
