My wife's cousin's less than 2 mo old child, Henry is not eating enough. I say eating as I don't know if he is nursing or being bottle fed. When being fed he gets tired and stops eating and only consumes about 2 oz. Do to his eating problem he is 2 lbs lighter than he should be.

Had a great grandson with that problem. The cause was a minor problem with his mouth that was easily corrected.

Had a great grandson with that problem. The cause was a minor problem with his mouth that was easily corrected. Family member was born with a partially erupted tooth which made feeding difficult. Easily fixed. Hoping yours is easily addressed as well.

Prayers for baby Henry...
When our son was first born he wasn't taking nourishment good and usually vomited back up what little he did consume. Hospital's doctors and nurse "experts" were about to do exploratory surgery on him to try to find out why. Wife was about have a meltdown from worry.
I can't explain why or how but somehow I felt in my gut the problem was caused by not getting 'burped' good or often enough as he nursed and after.
One afternoon while visiting I tried burping him with rather firm pats on his back every couple of minutes while feeding him myself and he burped loud, and often, sounded like a bullfrog. He took in more nourishment than he ever had since being born and kept it all down.
Told his pediatrician, a young, very conscientious woman, what I believed the problem was hoping she'd put a formal halt to unnecessary and senseless exploratory surgery which she immediately did.
