These have got my interest, especially having a .308 in a sub 8 pound gun. Most manufactures guns are 8.5- 9+ pounds

Does anyone have any experience with them? I'm edging towards the 16.5" barrel, direct impingement for a new hog rifle with a suppressor.

They have a new model out called the Rogue, which is supposedly under 6 lbs, and several hundred dollars less. That one may be worth a look as well.

I looked at the Rogue too and would have to add an adjustable gas block. The Revolution seems to have a few other things too (match trigger, fully ambi controls, forward assist, etc.)

No, but I have a Rogue. Bought it specifically for it's light weight.

So how do you like the Rogue? Reliable, accurate? Anything stand out as good/bad?

POF never responded to my inquiry about how to order a Rogue with their Dictator adjustable gas block installed. This was after two gun writers had said that was an available firearm. IIRC, POF’s web site says the Dictator is available for around $120 to $200. No explanation why there was a such a difference in cost.

I wanted a Rogue to go with my Revolution and my local gun shop (Larry’s Pistol & Pawn, Huntsville AL) made me a great deal on the only one they had. Just got it back from the AR Bar (which is also in Huntsville AL) who installed a Seekins Precision adjustable gas block on the Rogue and two of my other ARs.

I’ll probably have the guys at my local local gun store/range (Bullet & Barrel, Huntsville AL) sight in both the Revolution and the Rogue and give me their insight on the quality and utility of both of them.

Changed plans, tried to mount my Larue Quick Detach/Vortex 1-6 Scope combination (which up til now has been residing comfortably on my Armalite AR-10B Series) and discovered that the hand guard Picatinny rail did not match up with the Rogue’s upper’s rail. Told my gunsmith to machine enough off the bottom of the arm guard rail sides (for about 1.25”) to allow the QD levers to remain in the same plane. I’ll shim the top of the hand guard rail to level out the transition for the QD mount.

I was successful in mounting my Quick Detach and its alleged SOCOM 10 power scope on my Revolution. It has been 48 years since I fired an M-14 in my Army days, and have not shot rifle at all in the last two years. No high powered rifles other than 5.56 AR-15 before then. The Revolution is only a 7.3 pound gun, so I was pleasantly surprised when the recoil was entirely manageable. To get a rough zero at the store where I bought the the rifle I was firing from 30 yards from a stool behind a bench, elbows on the bench, hand guard on foam rubber blocks. Left and went to the range I belong to that has a 100 yard tunnel to shoot through and electronic target. There I shot off an un-anchored lead sled. Did not feel good about the groups I shot, but did achieve one three-shot group just slightly over an inch and finished with a four-shot group that ran about four inches scattered around the intended zero.

Ended up running through 19 rounds of Aguila 7.62. Nine for rough zero. Ten for rough zero, nine for final. The range’s air evacuation system was not working, so by the time I finished up I was shooting through a cloud of smoke in the tube. There were no FTF/FTL/FTE. I’ll shoot some more in the coming weeks with better ammo and better shooting supports/bags and report back.

I was not impressed with the charging handle on the Revolution. Work it in the store before you buy. May be a proprietary item since the bolt is proprietary.

It’s bad juju to run a scope mount on the upper and bridge the rail. Keep both “feet” of the mount on the upper. That might explain your poor shooting.

Thanks, that’s the same advice I got from my gunsmith but I like to run backup sights under the scope. I can probably go to single quick detach rings instead of the Larue SPR type mounts and resolve that issue. Until then I’ll see what happens.

Almost any cantilever type mount will allow you to use back up (flip up) sights with scope use. I was trying to imagine why you have to run the mount so far forward. I know some guys bridge the receiver to rail with their scope mounts, but the rails have to merry up well to do that. Yours sounds like it doesn't. I'd still do like TWR suggested though, and run the mount on the receiver. Go with a cantilever mount and you should be good to go.

No problem getting a folding sight under the LaRue mount.

I bought a POF Revolution in .308, black with 16.5" barrel today. Man is it slim and trim, I'd swear it's an AR-15. I hope it shoots as good as it handles.
