I've got a couple of M1As and SIG 716s and even an older AR 10 .... but none of them really do-it for me. Too heavy, bulky, not accurate enough, just do not feel right.
This one might, I dunno. Anyone got one? I think I'm going-to look for one.
So they found a solid way to get past 922r without changing-up or replacing any of the highly reliable internals.

The specs say 4.8 kilograms,.....10.5 pounds. A FAL with a 21" barrel is about 9.5 pounds. As for accuracy, the rack grade FALs that I assembled were typically 3 MOA rifles. It would be interesting to see a side by side comparison between the Zastava and a FAL.
As for reliability,...the legend of "Old Dirty". I didn't read through the whole thread again. It started in 2003. 16,000 rounds without a cleaning is the last count I've heard of. The gas piston tube burned through at one point, but the rifle continued to function.
In that third video posted, the review by Old English Outfitters, they said it weighed 8 pounds at about 1:28 into the video. They reviewed it with iron sights only.
Valmet Rk62 and Galils are available in 7.62x51 as are the Ace Galil pistols w/ brace. The latter is about 6.5 lbs w/out mag. The Israelis replaced their FALs w/ the Galil after the FAL proved very unreliable in that environment.
