Hey guys. Fullfield II, 3-9x40, ballistic plex is $109 on Amazon. Seems like a good deal. Forgive me if this is old news.

Unless I have a specific need to fill (AR-15, long-range rifle, etc.), that is the only scope I buy anymore.
Excellent all-around scope and you can't beat it for the price.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Doesn't Big Stick love these things? Or is a some type of spokesperson for them? I could be mistaken but I thought he mention them a bit.

Yeah, I don't think its the "shooting" he does, it's throwing them in the creek and smacking the fu ck out of them. They aren't made for that kind of schidt. Contrary to what you believe.

Oh I get the dialing thing, just don’t do it except with .22s, and only lately. The creek stuff is just artistic expression.
Tossing just uses up the nine lives of stuff prematurely, so as an old man on a fixed income, I abstain from that.

I had a couple before but picked up another when they went to $98. Put that on a 300 Weatherby. Haven’t shot that much, maybe 80 shots, but so far so good. I personally think they are hard to beat at those prices.

I believe they are one of the real great buys for the $$.

Bought 2 earlier in the summer. Then another last week. Gives me 2 as spares on the shelf. Figured they’d come in handy at some point.

This makes trying to sell used scopes difficult. for 90% of hunting these work great.

Compared to other budget options like a used Redfield Revolution or Nikon ProStaff, I find them to have more distortion around the edges when at top magnification. It can sometimes be the outer 15-20% of the view. Other than that, they are pretty decent for a hundred bucks. I'll still take a Revolution if the money is the same.

Never noticed that myself, though 9x only gets used at the range (so far) where it matters not and wouldn’t be noticed. Have to check it out next time. Afield, all my variables except maybe the LPVOs get set on 2 or three, depending on cover. There’s pretty much always time to turn one up if need be, but not always to wind one down.

To be fair, I only own two of them, one being the $98 Amazon special, the other being the rimfire "Droptine" 3-9 version I bought last year. I noticed it first on the rimfire scope when I mounted it on my Kimber 22 and then saw the same with the centerfire version that I was shooting yesterday on an AR. I usually leave both scopes set around 5X, so it's typically not a big issue. Still a decent value for a knock-around scope for the truck/Mule gun, I think.

I have an older 3-9 Burris that I use as my known good scope. If I have a scope that is questionable I take it off and put on the Burris. It's solved many a scope problem.

I put two of them on two rifles for a friend of mine and sighted them in this summer. Way better than the $109 Tasco World Class 3-9 that everybody had at least one of in 1992. Better glass, actually tracked, WAY brighter, didn’t turn into a toilet paper tube on 9x……
