A puppy has to be brought home and observed for the right name. My Ellie (black lab female) was Amber when we brought her home at 8 weeks. Since I had a yellow female named Misty, Amber had to go, sounds like 2 strippers living in the house.

A puppy has to be brought home and observed for the right name. My Ellie (black lab female) was Amber when we brought her home at 8 weeks. Since I had a yellow female named Misty, Amber had to go, sounds like 2 strippers living in the house. That’s the way I am. I usually let the dogs personality or demeanor point me in the name direction. I have been known to change a dogs name if the personality don’t fit. I always limit the names to two syllables too. It’s less confusing in the field. That’s just me tho
