I don’t know about a total defeat but they are apparently willing to take it all the way.
My concern is that Putin now really has no realistic way to extract Russia from this without losing face.
Let’s realize that this little jaunt by putin is now into the 6th month. He made a really bad miscalculation. Striking the Russian Black Sea Fleet headquarters in The Crimea was a wake up call of major proportions for putin.
Both sides have lost a hell of a lot for sure but commitments by Ukraine allies have already been signed and agreed to for the rebuilding effort that’s gonna be badly needed but yet to know the full extent of what will be needed.

The EU has formally suspended and stopped giving visas to all Russians.
The EU hasn’t yet invoked a full travel ban on Russians but is considering making the move to invoke a total ban as many nations within the EU are asking for a total travel ban.
What's the latest? The 11 AM top of the hour radio news said that Ukraine is mounting a counter offensive designed to send the surviving Russians back to Russia.
I'm hoping Russia can hold their ground. The free Christian world hangs in the balance.
