Does anyone have knowledge of how well Tikka (T3X) handles gas?
Specifically how well the shooter is protected in event of case rupture, pierced/blown primer etc.

I have blown primers twice in a Tikka T3, no issues. Ruptured old case, again no issues.
Just a puff of smoke is all, always eye protection.
It did etch the bolt face a little, this is of no consequence excluding cosmetics.

A blanked and blown primer in a .223 broke a bolt shroud and knocked it off the rifle. The factory pot metal shroud was replaced with a SS aftermarket part.
