I made the mistake of telling them to send it over there to them ONCE. Got a split lip for that bit of smartness. I was 11 before I learned to keep comments like that to myself.

My mom would tell me " so you don't want to eat this? I'm going to send you to live with Mary-lee and Jitterbug". They were a large black family down the road.
I'd shut up and eat up.
Avoid the smart comeback at all cost, mom would bust you open for that instantly.

I heard that growing up but not so much directed at me but rather one of my 4 siblings. I wasn’t too picky and I ate everything…a lot of everything. I remember one night mom said that to me and I responded that if mom wanted to pay half I’d pay the other half of the shipping to send it to the starving kids in Africa but, I warned her, despite their dying from starvation I doubted they were hungry enough to eat this gross food. I was surprised by mom and dad’s response…..dad immediately broke out laughing and mom had to excuse herself so that I didn’t witness her laughing too. I guess it was my delivery that evening that saved my ass…

No. "Clean your plate" was it. If it took too long the egg timer got broke out. Let that expire once while staring at cold Brussel sprouts. Got ass whooped and sat back down. Timer restarted. I cleaned my plate.

Not possible to feed all of them, and more popping out every second. There will be a reckoning soon!
We will be like that soon if we don’t stop all the Meskins from coming in. That’s why there is some shortages now.
