Hello all, I'm in the process of loading for a new AR purchase. Bulk loading for target practice, plinking, and maybe an occasional Coyote or two. I ran across a baggie of bulk bullets which I don't remember buying but seem to be the Hornady bullet mentioned in the title. Anyone have any accuracy and on-Coyote experience with this bullet? I'm thinking it should work at least OK but would like feedback from those with experience. I also have a Sako 223 Dlx which I have never fired and thinking of taking care of that situation. Anyone know if a 1-12 twist will stabilize this Hornady bullet? Thanks for your help! Rick

If they behave like the 55 bthp they’ll be very accurate but very erratic in regards to on game performance. I’ve had them ice pick on pigs and coyotes and blow up on pigs and coyotes, never know until they land.
Maybe the 62s are different, but I doubt it.

Ingwe and others who might know. I have 500 of Sierra's 55-grain GameKings loaded up( at the risk of highjacking the OP topic) how do they work on small deer and such?

I have heard they work good, though Ive never personally used them. Ive found terminal performance to be erratic with Sierras, but perhaps the 55 GKs are OK. The only Sierra I shoot is the 63SMP and its terminal performance is predictably good...perhaps the 55s are too. Hopefully someone with actual experience will chime in.

12 and 9 in 223.
14 and 12 in 22-250.
In a 223 I wouldn't be afraid of a tight twist.

I have not killed anything with the 63 SMP's but they are accurate out of several of my rifles. Unfortunately, Sierra has not made them for several years. I have been hoarding a box waiting for the "right time" to bring them out. It would be nice to see them hit the shelves again. kwg
