The overwhelming majority of reporting.

What evidence regarding Russian failure to take Kyiv do you question, and what evidence would you provide in support?

Did you expect Russia to take Kyiv, or not? When did you reach that conclusion, and did your expectations change as the war went on?

Russia never planned to take Kiev. Russia sent troops to Kiev to keep the Ukraine military occupied while other Russian troops went to work in the Crimea,..which is Russia's only real interest in Ukraine.

Uhh...no.

All the major news sources say he is a cruel dictator and his people are so terrified of him that they only support him publicly so they won't be burned for heating fuel.

Seemed like a very costly "distraction." Looked much more like a failure to take Kyiv.

It’s the Donbas the Russians are taking. Crimea had already joined with Russia in 2014 when the CIA overthrew the elected Ukrainian government and installed the Nazi puppet regime.

What else off all this you’ve debated have you seen?

With fuel prices so high, tickets to Ukraine must be pretty steep!

Were you there in the failed effort to take Kyiv?

I don't rely solely on American media reports.

I presume the common facts supporting various news sources to likely be true. Nobody knows for sure, we all have to make presumptions.

I sure as heck don't place any stock whatsoever in crap like The Dive. I don't recall if you do or not, it's just a bad example which comes to mind.

Which Ukrainian media reports do you rely upon?

How much of what you read do you believe?

I think for the “conquest of Kiev” to have been a real thing those soldiers in the 40 mile column would have had to dismount from their vehicles and engage in combat operations. They didn’t dismount or engage, they encircled the city while the rest went to the Donbas to get to work. Kiev was a distraction and an almost international disaster considering how frothed up the war mongers were while they salivated over attacking the Russian sitting ducks. Thankfully we didn’t take the bait and after a couple weeks those columns dispersed.

Poland to sue Germany for $1.3 trillion over WWII
Warsaw has estimated its World losses from the conflict and wants Berlin to pay up
Poland to sue Germany for $1.3 trillion over WWII

Polish leaders have provided a new assessment of the damage the country sustained at the hands of Germany during World War II, evaluating it at 6.2 trillion zlotys ($1.32 trillion).

During a news conference on Thursday, which marked 83 years since the start of World War II, the leader of the country’s ruling nationalist Law and Justice party (PiS), Jaroslaw Kaczynski, announced the release of a report on the costs Poland suffered during the years of Nazi occupation.

“We not only prepared the report but we have also taken the decision as to the further steps,” Kaczynski said during the report’s presentation, announcing that Warsaw intends to officially request reparations from Germany, which he described as a “long and not… easy path.”

He added that Warsaw believes Germany is capable of paying the bill, and insisted the move would serve “true Polish-German reconciliation,” which would be based on “truth.” Kaczynski also suggested that the current estimate of damages may not be final.

“The sum that was presented was adopted using the most limited, conservative method, it would be possible
