The problem is that there is zero context. Was this a sucker punch for the fun of it, or was there something that led up to it? We just get a thin slice of time here. If it were a sucker punch for pleasure of sucker punching, I have no sympathy for the dead guy. If the guy with the gun had a minute earlier announced that this was a stick up, then the situation is completely different.
