Nobody has guns in my neighborhood. I sold all of mine last week, out in Texas.
I am..........disturbed.

Probably upwards of 90%…..maybe even 95% are firearm owners! Probably less than 35% (SWAG system used) carry daily! memtb

Most folks in my area go armed. Except for one dumb libtard on my street. He’ll be the first to go when SHTF.

Prolly a good % in my area. Rural MS.
But…..
There’s the bunch that believe the police is gonna save them.
Our county has maybe 2 deputies on patrol at night.
I worked with a colored dude tears back. During the 0bama years. Played football at college til he fugged his leck up.
I asked him if you had a gun to protect his family.
Just as serious as he could be, said I’ll call the police.
Dude, you live in the country ( county).
You realize if the deputy is on a call in the opposite of the county, you’re fugged??
Didn’t matter to him. Police gonna save him.
Dave

I live in the Free State of Wyoming, constitutional carry here. Lots of people carry concealed but you don't know it because it's CONCEALED. Very seldom see open carry, but we have a few of those as well.

Since Ohio now has constitutional carry, I’d say 50%. Not many open carry. I don’t blame them. Don’t like showing my hand until it’s time.
Ron Finally a man with some common sense. I never open carry. You are just inviting trouble. "... just inviting trouble ..." Really? ...and what trouble would that be? "Let's go harass that guy with the 1911 on his hip! He seems to be a pushover!" 🤪 "You might have a gun, but I'm a-gonna whup yore a$$!" "This looks like a good place to rob! See that guy with the handgun! Naw! He ain't gonna shoot us!" "I think I'll go to rob that armed guy over there! He looks easy."

If the “open carry” person is in the immediate area of a robbery, ect., and the assailant is just a little situationally aware……the “open carry” person will be the first threat (to the robber) eliminated! Nothing like having a neon sign overhead stating……”shoot me first”! 😉 memtb

1. One is never out of reach in my home. 2. Never exit house unarmed. 3. Always concealed.
40 years ago caught Jamboni in my car. Held him for po-pos. He had a big screwdriver. I had a Chief's Special. He complied with my orders.
any questions ?

Not sure, I pay attention and seldom see someone carrying, I'm sure some are that I don't notice. I carry all of the time, even at home. I would say not many do here in Corpus.

I don't know.
I live off the beaten path so I wouldn't be surprised if some in my immediate vicinity are unarmed.
On the other hand, Kentucky is a constitutional carry state, and I'm sure many go about armed but are discreet about it.

I have no idea. Most men here deer hunt and own at least a few guns between hunting and defensive purposes. I know a few people that are outspoken about what they own and CCW’s but most just keep quiet about how many and fly under the radar with CCW’s.
I’d guess that a lot have a CCW but that most usually do not carry but just a guess.

Rarely ever see any one open carry. I’d guess maybe 10% Conceal Carry. But I live in a very rural area. Back when taught the TX Carry Course here, for over 20 years, I always asked each class, how many planned to carry daily when the got their License. More than half of my students said they only wanted the license so they could legally have a gun in their vehicle for traveling. Of course, that’s all changed since we got Constitutional carry here a year or so ago.

Greater than 70% of us have guns. Id say less than ten percent cary on their person on a regular basis.

In the area, the vast majority own firearms but I suspect very few have a carry permit and few of them actually carry a gun.
At home I keep a gun handy, always a rifle for varmints and for the next few months, a shotgun to shoot passing geese. I have had a carry permit since 1985 and carry whenever and where ever allowed.
Of the rest, it is estimated 10% of carry permit holders carry even occasionally. I suspect that is pretty close to accurate based off my experiences. I worked in a farm store for nearly 4 years and saw maybe a couple dozen with guns and I am fairly decent at spotting them. I loved those that open carried, they were good for at least one customer running up to me to report the "troublemaker".
My first question was always, "Was the gun in a holster?" The answer was invariably, "yes" to which I would reply, "criminal's don't use holsters. That is someone who is legal to carry a pistol." The look on the person's face was always good for a laugh. If they began to stammer further I would tell them I am not paid enough to confront someone with a gun but, if they wanted to, I wouldn't stand in their way to do so. The reporting person would always storm off to never be heard from again.

Not that many around here . Maybe 1 in 150. Mostly open carry. Me concealed back pocket tee shirt over it. It prints but honestly I think most have zero clue.
Pretty good at spotting print signs on conceal carry.
Little pocket pistols hard to detect. Womens purses dunno... Bytch could be carrying a old school .44 automag for all I know..
