Over the years I have used a wetstone to sharpen knives, which was always slow, messy, and difficult to keep the blade at the correct angle. A few months back I tried a few differnt models of sharpeners, one being the Firestone Broadhead Sharpener. Designed for archery to put a super sharp edge on broadheads the Firestone will sharpen knives too. And it's fast. I can put a razor hair shaving edge on a knife in two-three minutes. The sharpening process is idiot proof, just pull the knife over the ceramic disks. No guessing the angle. Light weight. I drilled the excess plastic out of the handle to lighten it even more for my hunting vest. Two basic models one with coarse and fine disks and another with only fine disks. I bought a second one for use in the kitchen.
