I'm not even talking about the interracial ones or the gay ones or the woke ones. I'm sick of seeing commercials openly talking about ass wiping, pubic hair and "gut health". Now, I just saw one advertising a product, don't remember the name, where the b*tch tells you to rub this stuff into your ass crack so your crotch won't stink! Is there NO modesty any more? Obviously I know the answer to that, but I sure miss Mr. Whipple telling people to not squeeze the Charmin. We all knew what it was for, but they kept the commercial vague and entertaining. End of old man rant....
I remember when that trend started with the breakthrough in the early 1970s of ads for feminine hygiene products. They were quite uncomfortable to see come on the TV while you were amidst mixed company.
So, what was preventing this sort of commercial before feminine hygiene product ads started showing. Was it just common decency and consideration on the part of the advertisers, or was there some regulation preventing it?
