Russia’s gas supplies to Europe via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline will not resume in full until the “collective west” lifts sanctions against Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine, the Kremlin has said.

Dmitry Peskov, President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, blamed EU, UK and Canadian sanctions for Russia’s failure to deliver gas through the key pipeline, which delivers gas to Germany from St Petersburg via the Baltic sea.

“It is important to recall that there is not just one gas pipeline from Russia to Europe,” said Tim McPhie, the European Commission’s energy spokesman on Monday. “If there was a technical problem which was impeding supplies via Nord Stream 1, there would be a possibility, if there was willingness, to deliver gas to Europe through other pipelines. That’s something we’re not seeing happening.”

Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev, now deputy chair of Russia’s security council, Medvedev said Germany was “acting as an enemy of Russia” by supporting sanctions against Moscow and supplying Ukraine with weapons. “They have declared hybrid war against Russia,” Medvedev wrote on Telegram. “And this old man acts surprised that the Germans have some little problems with gas.”

My guess is, Russia never resumes sending energy to Western Europe as long as Western Europe allows the globalists to call the shots. Putin is playing the long game and is increasing trade relations with China and the rest of Asia. The West has proven too fickle of a customer.

The global south is now in the process of setting up a series of alliances that will greatly reduce trade with Western Europe and America. In South America Brazil has expressed an interest in being a part of the BRICS coalition and even one NATO country, Turkey, has been making overtures to being included in the BRICS coalition.

In a nutshell, a big part of the world is working to configure themselves in a manner that will take them out from under America's thumb and the reliance on the American Dollar.

Putin doesn't need to forcibly reconstruct the old USSR. When BRICS becomes completely assembled, the former Soviet states will look the them in much the same way that Western Europe has looked to America.

,...and it's only going to take a few winters of energy shortages for Western Europe to show up at Russia's front door with its hat in its hand.

If America had leadership that was favorable to the American people, this situation would have never occurred. But at this point, the best that the American people can hope for is leadership that will work to make it self sufficient after the rest of the world turns its back on America.

*That's* the real "great reset",....*that's* the real "new world order".

Basically, the world is as sick of American leadership as conservative Americans are. The world is doing something about it. American's aren't.

The rest of the world isn't under the same constraints that America and Western Europe is. It's going to opt out of being controlled by western influence.

None of this has been an accident.

the EU and the US will surrender by end of December. Its a good excuse to end the war they are losing badly and there aren't many Ukrainian soldiers alive to keep fighting. That would make the most sense if we weren't living in a clown world

Or the US can make this last 20 years and spend trillions of dollars like in Iraq and Afghanistan thereby turning the US into Ethiopia. Tis has definitely hastened the new world alignment where the US loses al to of its power and and influence and degrades us to a third world status with open borders

The B in BRICS is Brazil Bristoe. You’re correct about where the world is going though. The BRICS alliance is setting up their own monetary settlement system and the western dollar system will just be one of several in the future. Soon all of Asia , Africa , and South America will be outside the dollar system. With the dollar toppled so goes the US empire. Western Europe is committing economic and social suicide right now. The German industrial economy is grinding to a halt and with it goes Germanys’ ability to keep the EU together and dictate policies.

I don't think the global south cares whether Ukraine surrenders or not. As of now, the actions of the west in Ukraine has filled Russian coffers with money and provided an impetus for the global south to come together as a coalition.

The Russians have had its way with Ukraine since day one. It would have taken the Donbass region and pulled back if Western influences hadn't kept sending arms into Ukraine to keep it going.

Zelensky is still sending suicide missions into certain Russian controlled areas. But it long ago turned into a Russian occupation.

The west is depleting itself of arms and money, and Russia is making bank and aligning with those countries who correctly view American hegemony as a threat.

Because of how the whole situation has shaped up, Russia has no incentive to shut down its occupation in Ukraine.

Russia has made numerous offers for a cease fire and a peace treaty since this started but of course all were turned down at the direction of the US

Looks like the Himars are getting on line.

Bridge taken out. Russia suspended occupation plans. Cities recaptured by Ukraine.

The U. S. Is grateful their himars can be run by “ 18 “ year old Ukraine children.

Pretty sick IMO.

Basically, anytime a Ukraine offensive starts to have success, the Russian forces pull back, allows the Ukraine forces to settle in, then the Russians decimate the Ukraine forces with 21st century artillery, then moves back in to occupy the area and then some.

One step back, two steps forward.

The Russians are just baiting the Ukraine forces.

The Ukrainians took a couple of villages at tremendous costs that leave the Ukraine with few reserves to stop the next Russian offensive. The Russians will retake every last inch and continue on their conquest of the southern Ukrainian coast. The Ukraine just threw everything they had at the Russians and got a couple of villages and a few square miles of dirt they have no chance of holding onto.

The world’s second-largest steelmaker, ArcelorMittal, is the latest industrial company to announce a plant closure in Europe due to soaring gas and energy prices.

ArcelorMittal will shut one of its two blast furnaces at its steelworks site in Bremen, Germany, from the end of September until further notice, due to the “exorbitant rise in energy prices,” the company said in a statement on Friday.
