So, I have a 11 week old Airedale female.

She had her first round of shots at 6 weeks.

At 7 weeks she contracted Parvo and (obviously) survived.

I picked her up at 9 weeks, and she had her second round of shots.

I have heard that with the contraction of parvo, her first round is basically useless and to "start over". Is there any truth to this, or do I continue as normal, with her having two rounds of vaccines?

Looking for some guidance as the person who told me this is a vet tech, but it also doesnt make sense so I really dont know.

That is a question for your vet.

If she did indeed contract Parvo and survived, she will probably never get it again. If a 7 week pup gets parvo, they usually die.

But the vet will want to vaccinate the schitt out of her "just in case"

Just don't bother vaccinating her for it again.

I had a lab pup that contracted parvo at about 11 weeks
I nursed him through doing I.Vs and such he pulled through and ended up very healthy, he never contracted it again. That dog and I had a strong bond
I always figured he knew I saved his life and was grateful.
If dogs are in heaven I look forward to being with him again.

I would say that natural infection will induce a better immune response than the vaccine, however was the pup's infection confirmed to be parvo ie by lab test and not just a clinical exam/guess.
