Shaman, "was it worth it"? I'd answer Yes.

Why? Because of the content and story you provide here: http://genesis9.angzva.com/

My best to you Shaman

Good deal. One day at a time. Getting to your treestand can be a good motivator. 😊

After any major health crisis, it’s important to not try to measure recovery on a day-to-day basis. There will be good days, and days that seem like a setback but are not. At a minimum, measure weekly or longer. Plus, it will feel more positive with the bigger view.

Carry on.

Thanks all.

Friendship, IN is just a skip and a jump from the house. I used to go twice a year, but I haven't been in 30+ years. It's one of the things on my post-retirement list. First off is the NMLRA membership booth. Flintlocks Inc is now 2nd on my list.

As to it being worth it, I had a close work friend years ago that I didn't see for 6 months. When I saw her again, she was bald and skinny. I asked what had happened. She said breast cancer and chemo and that she was glad it was over because she couldn't do it again. That stuck with me. I always wondered what would make someone so filled with life vow "never again." I found out.

My answer to that same question is what else is there?

Mister Two Dogs: I am humbled by your response. Genesis 9:2-4 Ministries has turned into my life's work-- a testament to what happens when you feed a kid too many Outdoor Life magazines. My big wish coming out of this whole mess is that I've got good fodder in the coming months and years for the weblog. First on that pile is the saga of getting Mooselette out for her first deer.

Shaman - yes it was worth it. Your testimony and attitude through these Jobian trials will help others coping with badness.

Stay motivated and enjoy life daily.

There's a lot of truth there. On a short term level, I've got a never- ending path of daily suckitude. Still, every week goes by, and I realize I'm doing better. Today, as a for-instance, I woke up planning a trip to the basement and had an hour's worth of puttering lined out. I stopped to eat breakfast first and. . . I ended up napping from 0630 to 0930 and woke up too dazed to dare the stairs. Scratch that plan.

Glad you are improving and getting better. Just take it one day at a time and don't rush it. Don't need for a setback.

Prayers lifted.

God’s Blessings on you and yours, Shaman. That had to be no less a tough ride for those closest to you.

Thank you for taking us along with you on your journey back to good health.

You are one tough, gritty Hombre, Sir.
