Pluses;

1) For being thirtyish she is in really good shape.
2) The seriously messed up adult in her life is a woman, her mom.
3) The two men in her life, her father and her boyfriend, are both strong, stable, supportive individuals.
4) She gets unintentionally pregnant and doesn’t get an abortion.
5) Her efforts to survive are at least loosely based on reality.

Sucks
We were on board with it for a bit but it seemed like they had to stretch it into additional episodes and the content just became uninteresting. Too much flashback to her disfunction and not enough in the present. Quickly tired of her relationship\childhood\parental angst that became the focus.

Day Shift, on Netflix. Action horror / comedy, with Jamie Foxx and Snoop Dogg. Basically a comic book type of popcorn movie. It was okay.

Terror On The Prairie

Gina Carrano
Donald Cowboy Cerrone

Great gritty western.

Nope, the bad guys were all whitey, if I remember right.

The latest Stallone movie, Samaritan, is not terrible. It's yet another comic book type of movie but it has a nice plot twist at the end. Stallone does a decent job in it. I think it's on Netflix or maybe Amazon Prime.

Samaritan has to straighten some people out.
Stallone is always worth watching. IMO

I"ll check it out.

I'm all for a good Western

Seems like most of what they make now are the equivalent of 1950's "B" westerns with country music singers and gucci wardrobes

I'd love to see some good ole Spaghetti Westerns equivalents made today. I enjoyed Old Henry. That's a western.

You will like it. Rated 85 by viewers on Rotten Tomatoes

Young couple struggling on their homestead in Montana after the Civil War. Donald Cerrone is the husband and Gina Carrano is the wife.

Will leave drscription there to not give the plot away, with just a little teaser. Gina Carrano is a badass..

Just found this trailer on youtube. Same story as 1930 and 1979 but apparently with a really big budget, and they speak German. Supposed to be released on Netflix October 28 so several weeks away but something I'll be watching for.

Bored today, too hot to do much of anything outdoors so luxuriating in air conditioning. I just went through all 80 pages of these movie/series recommendations and wrote down about 100 titles. I recently pulled the cord on network television and am enjoying a new 65" roku flat screen.

Thanks, fellas

Sheng Wang - Sweet and Juicy

Pretty dry but funny stand up.

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

Task Master

The original English series is great.

It's a panel show pitting comedians from the UK against each other in various tasks. There are two seasons a year, each with a different cast.

Only a handful lived to tell their story and it's well worth the watch even though it will depress the schit out of you. LOL

That inspired Kelloggs to brand a new cereal called “Rice Krispies”

That’s offensive.

It is still funny. Post cereals couldn’t be out done so they memorialized the bombing with their new cereal called “Crispy Critters”

Sins of Our Mother, on Netflix. A three part documentary on some batshìt crazy Mormons who started killing their family members a couple of years ago.

It's basically an extended Jerry Springer show, with murders and tons of religious lunacy sprinkled in. Not bad.
