A friend of mine has an unfired 1895 Winchester saddle ring carbine in 30-06 he would like to get rid of. I have looked at the rifle and it appears new and he has the box and paper work. What is this worth? I am not a collector, have any of you shot this type of firearm, if so what kind of accuracy can be expected? Thanks for the help.

One shot was enough and that old steel butt plate got your full and undivided attention! I am always looking for factory wood stocks!
