Anyone got a good pet load for .243 Win with 80gr TTSX?
My kids .243 shoots about 1 MOA with 100 gr Interlocks over a mild load of IMR-4064, so I know the gun can shoot. However, with a charge weight ladder in 0.5 gr increments of IMR-4064, with the TTSX set at 0.050” jump, the best group I got was 2.5” at 100 yds and many were worse.
I don’t want to waste components and I’ve also got all lot of different kinds of powder - so I figured the 24hr brain trust could help.

I’m running a book max load of RL15 in my daughter’s gun. Velocity is 3180 in a 20” barrel.
I’d play with seating depth before changing powders if you’re happy with the speed you’re getting.

I would start with the base of the bullet even with the neck shoulder junction. I would also try one of the 4350's.

Try going deeper with bullet in.005 increments and if you have any , try some H4831SC . 41.5-42.5 works good for me . You can honestly be surprised at the shorter coal trials , it can make an acceptable group to an excellent group as well as increase or dereaseing powder charges by .3gr Good luck , Kenneth

IMR 4350 works very well with that bullet in my 6mm Rem. It should do the same in the .243

Top load of IMR 4064, Federal 210, seat the bullet .050 off the lands, works in spades!

I’m running a healthy dose of Ramshot Hunter in mine and getting 3415 fps and plenty accurate.
