Came across this article after some searching. Pretty interesting article about the eruv's, what they are, history, etc.

Hopefully, some will fond it interesting...

"If you look closely, you might spot clear twine tied to utility poles in certain parts of Manhattan. Turns out it’s a fishing line with an important purpose. TikTok creator Norberto Briceño spots interesting things you’ll find in cities across the country. In a recent TikTok, he explained the fishing line in Manhattan."

I’ve noticed the clear monofilament line elevated above many roads in Aurora CO too. Easy to see if the sun is in the right position.

Thanks for posting that article. It is yet another example of why the Apostle Paul says that everyone who tries to live by the Old Testament law is condemned by it

Many cities in the US and abroad have these "wires" encircling certain areas.

I found it interesting.

Sounds like a made-up loophole to me.

I was told that it was a line to indicate how high the Rabbi was to throw the offering money into the air. God would keep what he wants and the Rabbi would keep what fell to the ground.

I don’t know where the hell it runs honestly I was just goofing off going up to get lunch. But if they say it runs up to 126th St., that’s a Long-haul..

This link has an interactive map...you arent too far from an eruv line if you walked that route for lunch.

Go take some pics or just see it and report back!

Checked out the link, I’m working up on York Avenue 63rd St. area it looks like it goes on the FDR on my way home I’ll look and see, I don’t see it on York. I actually don’t ever remember seeing it anywhere.it’s there but I never noticed it.

Just walked over to the FDR drive 63rd St. elevated walkway, there is no fishing line/line. So Nothing on the FDR nothing on York Avenue and nothing on first Avenue. And I took photos :-)

Can’t believe I’m doing this [bleep] :-) I literally just stop a Hasidic Jew :-) I asked him about it he told me they do exist but he’s not sure if there is one in Manhattan. Go figure, I can’t believe it. My quest for the holy grail is over, I’m done I’ll leave it up to one of you guys :-)
