My 2012 Callahan letter states that my 1899-C was shipped from the Savage Utica warehouse to a Looree Arms co. on Sept. 14, 1899. They had no further information about Looree. Since I acquired the rifle in Maine, I was wondering if any of the New England members might have further information about this company.

Little bird pointed me to this...
Loree & Co., a sporting goods store in Detroit in 1899.
Not sure if that's it.. maybe, maybe not. Doesn't seem to have been around long. The address (89 Grand River Ave) was a different company by 1906 (Superior Cream Separator Co).
