Cutting wheel on the grinder exploded and I didn't bleed one bit.

I never wore gloves in my younger days but I've noticed as I age my skin gets thinner and I cut easier so the last few years I started wearing these level 1 cut gloves, I gotta say I'm impressed.

Wish I had worn more hearing protection during the years.

Ain’t nothing much more dangerous than an .035 cut off wheel traveling at 10,000 rpm’s. They’ll damn near cauterize the cut when they get you. I don’t run any wheel guards on my grinders either so I’m always taking my chances.

I'm a Milwaukee slut anyway so I figure you just sold a pair of gloves.

Stickler for eye protection here too, and when I ground the paint off an old jonboat last year I wore a respirator.

Mechanic friend of mine lost an eye doing that. Put the guards back on and wear eye protection. Very important.

It pays to be prepared. Edit: when you are as familiar with Murphy as I am, if it can happen it will happen.

Yup, Chainsaw didn't even slow down either.

When my boy was 13 he got a job with one of the local farmers here and the farmer had him cutting wood. I told the boy he couldn't cut wood without chaps on so I bought him a pair and told him when he wrecks them he had to buy them, "Oh I ain't going to wreck them....You'll see."

Two mweeks later he was falling a tree and he backed up with the saw running and he tripped and dropped the saw into his thigh, he never even got a scratch out of it but he did have to buy new chaps.
