You're confusing Khazars with actual Jews.
Maybe I am? I’ve heard the term Khazars before but have no idea how it applies. I’ve never met a really dark complected Jew. Most Lebanese that I’ve seen are fairly light complected as well.

Actual Jews (more to the point, Judahites. Of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin), most likely no longer even exist. Some say that Sephardic jews MAY be actual descendants, at least in part, of real Judahites.... I personally think it is possible, but not too likely. The vast majority of those today who call themselves jews, and are not, are "Ashkenazi", and stem from the Khazarian empire, which converted to Talmudic Judaism en masse in the late 8th century. Throw in some European DNA (think trophy schicksas) and you get today's "jews". Even if one disagrees with the "Khazar theory", it's actually hard to deny that the "jews" of today have no real relation to the Jews of Jesus' day... except for their blasphemous religion.
