I made it to the range today and shot my M4 clone. I shot a box of Nobel #6 1 1/8oz 3 1/4 dram low brass with no problems. I shot a box of Federal low brass 3 dram 7 1/5 shot and most cycled OK but those that didn't ejected the fired shell but the bolt didn't go back far enough to pick up the shell in the lifter and the bolt remained open. I shot a few 3" magnums with #4 shot. They were brutal. I shot some reloaded shells given to me with #5 shot and unknown powder charge and they worked fine. I wore my PAST recoil shield and needed it. I shot as fast as I could. I did not pattern the gun today. I just did a function test. Overall I'm pleased with the gun.

I looked at those Saturday at a Bud's store. They had racks and racks of them. They looked interesting, but I didn't like the buttstock arrangement, and it looked like it was designed to inflict pain, not avoid it. That's what I did, I avoided buyiing it. I've always wanted a Benelli, but that one had me walking away. The operating system is solid, I have no doubt, but the few M1 Super90s I shot seemed to kick more than necessary, and I'm too old to fight with that.
