I lucked into a jug of Retumbo, what other cartridges is it useful in?
I have only loaded it in a 7mag with a TTSX with very good results.
Bought the powder for $250 so felt good about that.
Just wondering what else it works well in
I load for 300 wby, 300 win & 338 win. Also 270win,280, 06.

I had already read that limited information from Hodgdon. Im sure it must be useful in other cartridges or at least hopeful. My brother uses it in 338 Lapua.

Has worked well in the 25.06 with 115 - 120gr bullets.

Yep! I bought a pound to test out in my son’s 6.5 PRC, but he has yet to buy the dies, so .300 WM it will go then.

I’ve had really good results in the 7mag and 25/06 with regard to accuracy and velocities.

It is skookum in 25-06 with 110 - 120 gr bullets. Impressive velocities. With a 110 AB, I don’t think you can get enough in the case to go over pressure.

Congrats, that's like winning the lotto. I'd love more retumbo especially at that price. I've used it in 243 with 105s, 264 win, 270 and 7 wsm, my 28 nosler loves it, I also used to use it in 7 and 300 ultra. For 300 win I prefer h1000. Retumbo and h1000 are 2 of my favorites and I can't find either.

Yes, that is like winning the lotto to score on powder like that now.

Retumbo is what I use in the 7mm rem mag with 160, 175 gr. Bullets. Down to one pound of it, good thing load development is done.

Tried it I in the 25-06 did good with 120 gr. Bullets. But the way things are now, the retumbo is just for thr 7 mag.
