Mine felt like a bite of hot chili I couldn't swallow- - - - -none of the classic "chest pain- - - -left arm weakness- - - -etc." I ignored the symptoms the first time around, and waited a couple of hours before finally going to an ER when the second one happened. They had me on the operating table implanting a stent about half an hour from the time I walked into the door, after taking one look at an EKG.

Sounds like a good reason for an ER visit- - - - -spiky BP isn't something to mess around with.

my advise is to put your hand on your chest anyway , this will force them to do an EKG.

I should have been dead about 25 times by now. Every day is gravy.

Don't fire unless fired upon. But if they want a war let it begin here.

The bad news is I'm 80 years old. The good news is it's too late for me to die young.

I'd start by getting a new doctor!

My Dr told me 4 years ago I'd likely not see 50. I'll see it in December and feel like I have more in me. I've got to stay around because I got a late start and have young kids.

The clock is wound a fellow told me in 1973. That being said it takes a lot of will power to change our habits to hopefully live longer. I went to the cardiologist 3 weeks ago. I’m determined to be 25 pounds lighter at the next exam in December.

Like the tale, "Bubba where ya going in such a hurry". "I'm gonna go pizz on the grave of that doctor who told me I just had 6 months to live".

Sorta tells the story.

The matter of impending death, and especially the idea of a loved one dying relatively young, was once a fuzzy and distant scene. A year ago this week we experienced the full force of that reality. Even a broad and seasoned perspective can change so suddenly.

Every day is a gift to be used wisely.
