Picked up a spare truck yesterday, drove it home 2 hrs and my eyes are burning, sneezing, stuffy nose etc..

Drove it again today, same thing. Only thing that does that to me is Fugkin cats. They detailed it at the dealer, guess I’ll let it sit with the windows down for a few days? No visible cat hair so just guessing that’s what it is.

Did they put more of that "New Car Smell Good Schiett" in for your benefit?

I’m sure, hasn’t thought about that. Had AC blasting coming down the interstate too.
Thanks!

It didn’t smell like cocoa butter and vanilla air freshener so I was happy.

Did they use Scotchgard, or something similar, on the seats? That stuff really gets me until it fully dries. Similar symptoms (and very noticeable) to what you described.

If God has a list of things I should be punished for, that’s like #117 if their in order from worst to least.

No clue, how long does it take to dry. It’s been 30 hrs now.

No problem with outside cats. Had a stray I fed at the shop, and he kept the mice and swallows at bay.
Just can’t be in confined spaces with them.

Used truck? Could have belonged to a smoker. I can’t spend any time in a vehicle that’s been smoked in before my nose is running, I start sneezing…

Definitely no smoke smell. Smoked 2 packs a day for years until 2000. I’m still sensitive as scheit to that smell.

My wife once sprayed our living room furniture with it and for a couple days (probably a weekend) it aggravated me. Not as intense but felt similar to the CS / pepper gas we used in the military.
