Why in the hell would they not just make it simple and have both .224" chamberings at 8 twist?
Wow.
Otherwise, ok. Would also make more sense to do both 7mm's at 8 too.

Willing to bet R68889 is a 7 mag. Gotta be. Maybe it’s a 280? Nah….they aren’t that smart.

Willing to bet R68889 is a 7 mag. I’m pretty sure you are correct, same length and weight as .300 WM one.

Looking at the specs, the 24" 3 round capacity "7mm-08" is likely a 7 mag. 1 in 8 twist! With the advertised longer mag box & that twist, the rifle should get along fine with the .8 BC bullets that have been showing up.

The "regular" Big Green 7mm RemMag's will Smooch and stabilize .796 BC 180 ELD's,in OEM magfed guise. 8" will make 190 Beer Cans happy, along with their .838 BC. Hint...............

I see "longer mag box". Hopefully the 1:8 243 gets to 3.0"+. Also, someone will need a swift kick in the testicles if they 1:8'd the 223 then neutered it with a 2.26" box.
In a perfect world they'd skip any D&T by just milling 2-3 weaver/pic. slots on each bridge along with 20-30MOA worth of inclination. I'd greatly support ditching fasteners where/when possible. 8x40 is certainly superior to 6x48, but, no holes would be even better.
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

Elder Big Green 243's would Smooch, stabilize and feed 105 Hornie HPBT's in issued guise. None of which sucks. Hoping the throat geometry stays the same and 8" RPM with more COAL to grant 112 Smooches, would be nice...though I'd prefer a 243 Kreed. Hint.
In 223,the 8" REALLY needs to be 7" and there needs to be at least 2.500" COAL latitude, though I'd prefer 2.600",for land chasin'. An OEM 90 Beer Can Launcher, would be great in 223. Hint.
I'm with you on the mounting. Hint.................

IF that’s true; that would put street price under a grand, and they will sell the piss out of them.
Not sure how they could sell them for that, however.
Edit - thinking the guy responsible for the 7 mag specs, is responsible for the msrp listing too.

A lot less than what I heard. It would be great if they could but I don’t see how.

If the quality is there, that would be a real contender at or around the 1k price
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....
