In that case, add Bailey’s to the list.

I'm a bourbon guy. Only Irish I've ever had was Jameson and I've no insults to throw at it. Rather enjoy it. But that's an awful small representative sample. I'd try other's if they could be bought in 375's or 50's

Red Breast for sure. Whether it's worth the price is another discussion. Bushmills Black is the sweet spot.

Regular Jamison is good; 12 year old Jamison is great.

Then there's everything else.

What else have you tried?

Regular Jameson is OK. Jameson 12 is pretty good. Jameson doesn't get into great until a tier or two up. Think 18 or Gold Reserve.

I've always been satisfied with Redbrest.
I was more satisfied when it was $45 a bottle.

Brown spirits prices are getting ridiculous. On top of that, the product on the shelf often isn't as good as in years past before whisk(e)y became trendy.

If it's not distilled in Kentucky, it's just a guessing game.

Do you know Bourbon doesn't have to come from Kentucky? A whole lot of it doesn't.

It’s all good…. if you have enough of it. Or is that once you’ve had enough of it?

I'd have to be pretty far gone not to find mass market Canadian to be really bad, and I don't drink like that.

Nothing says "amature" like the distilling abilities of the countries that invented the drink.

Red Breast 12 Cask Strength for me as well. I wince every time I pay for it. And I have been known to add a few drops of water as well.

Lots of good ideas here!

Looks like I've got a lot of "testing" ahead of me! (GRIN!)

That peated Irish Connemara, sounds like a good one to try.

Thanks again for all the feedback!

I actually forgot that there are a few bottles of Gold Reserve stashed in the back of my cabinet. Might have to break one out for Christmas.
