6 pages, MINIMUM.......
(Including recommendations for an MS362 or MS391 with 20” bar, no doubt...)

Maser knew this is a real popular topic here. That's why he posted it.

Perhaps if he'd show us a photo of the trees? smile

This …. I have one, and have also had a 362 - which is used to trim huge trunk limbs… 440’s for trunks.

Consumer reports rated home owner saws.

#1 across the board was the Echo CS590. I got it in the 20 inch version.

It’s been a great saw so far.

Also…

Get yourself a good set of chainsaw chaps and hearing/eye protection.

Gas powered is a must. Money is not an issue.

Thanks

I’ve always been partial to Stihl and just bought another one several months back. The reality is that whatever you should buy is able to be serviced and repaired locally. I bought my newest Stihl at the local Ace hardware down the road from us. When I bought it they had a deal where if I bought the saw and a bottle of the Stihl premixed gas I got an extra year of warranty for a total of 3 years of warranty coverage.

If you are only trimming and pruning small stuff then I’d be concerned with the weight. Limbing saws are lighter and smaller overall. I know you specified gas is a must but if it’s only for smaller stuff then I’d look at some of the battery powered cordless saws out there, they’ve come a long way with cordless technology.

Good luck with whatever you choose. I don’t think you’ll have any shortage of opinions here about chainsaws….😂

Husky 455 Rancher here. Bought it 16 years ago. Cut up about 5 cords of firewood every year with it. Just routine maintenance. Still running strong, and starts easy.

All active on the board

Maser ain’t got time to be running a chainsaw

Not when he’s sucking his thumb, talking to wabigoon on the Special Friends Prayer Hotline and running three sock puppets

Dang good saws!

Only thing I have against Husky is the sound they make.
