My wife & I are heading to the Talladega NASCAR race today. I have my "Gun owners for Trump hat" & my "Save America" shirt. The wife say's I'm a puzzy cause she's wearing her "Let's go Brandon " hat. Hope the local folk won't be too rough on us. We've been in town for two day's and in asking around, everyone pretty much disapproves of Biden & company.

We used to go to Talladega every year and we still get mailings about getting seats. You’ll be hits with those clothes. Sunscreen will be key today.
If the wind is out of the north, the first time the pack makes the turn to the front stretch the sound is awesome.
Be patient in the traffic, don’t get in a hurry. Remember, the guy in the other car has probably had a few and thinks he’s Dale Earnhardt.
Don’t forget to take a leak before getting in the traffic. On the drive home to the west we were usually in heavy traffic until the west side of Tuscaloosa.

Not the NASCAR I used to watch. This, in spades...............just had a big crash with about a dozen cars. Talladega is my favorite track. Used to gave an annual credential; now with all the silly azz stage racing & all the rules to insure pack racing & all the crashes has just killed my interest. NASCR died with Dale Earnhardt, IMO. MM

They haven't had enough wrecks today so they just threw a yello flag with 6 to go.................almost assuring a crash-'em-up for the 2-3 lap finish & surely if they have an overtime...................guaranteed.
NASCAR must think that the fans enjoy crashes more that good racing as they do that bullschitt with amazing regularity.
Just amazing no one has been killed in these race ending crashes.

I used to be a huge fan. Haven't watched a race since Earnhardt died.
The France family pretty much single handedly killed everything good that nascar ever was. Between the universal car bodies, no rebel flags allowed, and all their other foolishness, I doubt that I would go to a race if I won free tickets.
Far as I can tell, even the die cast collectibles that used to be huge money, are now mostly worthless.
I do hope you have a good time though. I'm not meaning to sound like I'm insulting you. I'm not. If you like it, that's fine too. No skin off of my nose either way. But it's not the nascar it used to be.
