Makita. If I didn’t have Makita I would try Milwaukee but I do have a bunch of Makita tools and batteries. Same here. I haven’t bought new power tools in several years. I’m not brand loyal but mixing and matching battery powered tools doesn’t make sense. I mostly have Makita but if I were starting over Milwaukee is the way to go currently and has been for a while IMO.

None of them are what they used to be. Look where they are made. All in China. Milwaukee used to be the best of all. Not anymore. I think most are about the same.

None of them are what they used to be. Look where they are made. All in China. Milwaukee used to be the best of all. Not anymore. I think most are about the same. Unfortunately American, Japanese, or German owned they’re all made in China. China makes a lot of high end products when specked to do so. I hate to support anything made in China but for better or for worse it isn’t necessarily junk just because it was made in China.

I also used to buy Craftsman a lot, but when Sears failed and they sold off Craftsman to be manufactured in chiner, no more. Now:
1) Milwaukee
2) Makita
3) deWalt

I try to be brand loyal to point. But in the end price and working amps trumps all for me. And cheaper is not always better.
All my torches use victor tips and all my grinders have 5/8 11 threads. I don’t like mixing and matching stuff….

Bosch. I have a Menards store 1 mile from my house. They sell Bosch. The price is right and right now I get an 11% rebate when I buy from Menards. All of their tools are 18 volts. It's enough for what I do.

Decided to keep that stuff at the house for inside and patio projects and leave all of my others in the shop (s)
I hate walking back and forth between 3 different bldgs and the house trying to find where mrs slumlord last left one of my drills. She bad as the kids for not puttin shît back.

Mostly Milwaukee - I've got several tools and a BUNCH of M18 batteries.
Somehow, my Sawzall wound up being the M28 model (wasn't paying attention, I guess)
That thing is a BEAST!
I keep going red for battery interchange reasons.

I'm not really loyal to any brand. I have an old circular saw that's a Craftsman, and it's been tough over the years. Used it quite a lot. I've got some corded drills of different brands. My cordless stuff is all Dewalt.

When I met my wife she was 21 in 1976. She bought craftsman tools to replace her over head camshaft when she was 19.
The wife came home in 1982 with a Makita 10" miter saw and a 1/2" Milwaukee hole shooter drill.
I am still using them.

Have had good luck with and excellent service from Ryobi 18 volt equipment and I’ve got many of them. I use some of them several times weekly and the charger stays on a lot. Remodeling your gay dungeon? He is a big fan of the sawzall dilddo
