I just acquired a 20x Unertl 11/2 target scope with standard rings. The bench gun has Unertl standard mounts installed. When I slide the rings on to the mounts and screw in the mounting bolts for the rings they are not making contact with the bases to tighten up. The front bolt does not go in as far as the rear bolt but neither tighten up on the bases. Also the front bolt, the finer threads are stripped off the bolt or it's the aluminum pulled out of the ring. Sorry I dont have pictures to show this. Any help would be appreciated.
