Looking for information on a recent purchase
Remington 7600 chambered in 7/08
Rifle is in good condition except for clear coat chipping on wood stock,bluing is pretty good
I would rate it at 80/85 %
The rifle does not have engraving
I have checked with Remington and Grice and both stated all records have been buried
S/N is B8127275
Looking for info on age and should I bother refinishing the stock or leave as is
I Have researched and have not found the same rifle

I'd leave it just the way it is. If you're used to pump shotguns its a natural action. Nothing wrong with the 7-08.

If I remember correctly Grice had limited runs of 7600s in 6MM, 7MM08, and 25-06. They bring big money these days.......

I bought a 7600 7mm-08 brand new in 94 and it had nothing to do with Grice at all.

There is a 2 letter code on the barrel showing year of manufacture. Remington website used to have the breakdown info. Good find.
