This fly rod was made in the apex of fine craftsmanship in rod building. All the later stuff has gone to 5 piece and stiff rods for casting in parking lots and not on rivers.

This is a fantastic, medium action rod in 6 weight that could be the best all-around weight for a fly rod. The rod is in great shape and comes with a rod tube. i even have a Scientific Anglers reel that could go with it...$179.00

I was going to say the magic words....but too late! LOL

Years ago when I was guiding in Michigan, I used to build my own rods. I bought a Sage Graphite II blank and wrapped it as a spinning rod for Steelhead. It became my favorite rod for most everything! Used it for Perch fishing, trolling spinners for Walleye, you name it. In fact that's how I lost it....was drifting Saginaw Bay for Walleyes by myself one day and set the rod down and reached for something....heard a clunk and watched the rod go overboard. Thought about jumping in to grab it, but wind was blowing too fast and I'd never catch the boat again....

AWESOME blanks!

I've built 1000's of "Noodle Rods" using Sage blanks started in the 80's....I was lucky there was a Bait Shop that carried rod building equipment near me I bought Sage second blanks for pennies on the dollar there to build them.....I've caught from perch to muskie's on them and still do.....
