Got all the butchering done and a bunch canned. It's been a good day. Would have been better to age it some, but got a little too hot today.
I appreciate all the compliments. It was one of the more fun hunts I've had. Thank y'all.

Thanks again guys. Canning my last batch tonight. My dad is coming to hunt in a couple weeks. In the last few months he's had a mini stroke and lost sight in his right (shooting) eye. He's been shooting left handed and doing pretty good, so we'll see what happens. He seems to be handling it all pretty well. Better than I would. I don't believe in luck, but you can wish it upon us anyway.

That buck'll do and eat just fine! I can't pass up shots around here as the adjacent landowners do not allow animal retrieval, so the first one into my kill zone with my bow gets eaten!
