I was given a box of factory Remington Bronze Point 100 grain cartridges. They must be old since the price sticker on the box was $5. I have had no experience with them, they almost look like a full metal jacket except for a tiny hole at the end. I am going to try them out on paper this weekend out of my Savage 110 WLE.
I was curious about suitability for deer. I will let you know how they group compared to my hand loads.
PS: Post script, upon closer inspection of the box and an old Remington publication I can see that they are Pointed Soft Points. Remington number . R250SV However their is no exposed lead at the tip, just a tiny hole. They are factory rounds and not reloads.

this is a pic of a Remington bronze point box from the late 50's or early 60's. I believe this bullet type was new about that time. I remember 300 Savage ammo was under $5. a box at that time. I had some bronze points but can't find them. May have shot them up.

I have collected antique ammo for decades. Can't remember seeing a box of bronze points in 250/3000. Lots of other calibers were available with this bullet as well as components.

I have .308" 180 gr Bronze pts (components) and 3 boxes of 130 gr .277' Bronze points ( component) bullets. Have used the 150 gr BP in the 308 and 30-06 they seem fairly soft to me..mb

no idea. The box I pictured above was around late 50's early 60's. Bronze points had just come out if I remember correctly and me being an experimental type teenager I bought a box to hunt Florida whitetail.
