Has anyone tried the 140g Superbulldozer in an 8 twist .270 WSM? I can seat to 2.91", the case is 2.100" which leaves .810". The length of the bullet is 1.560". Does anyone know the length of the ogive on this bullet?...I'm unsure whether .810" is enough so that ogive isn't below case mouth. Thanks.

I'm using that projectile in a 270Win seated @ 3.30". It looks a bit funny seated so deep but that's all the room a Kimber 84L has in the box. I couldn't go much deeper or the ogive would be below the case mouth.
Base to Ogive is .812"
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

Thanks horse1, I should be ok then with the ogive above the case mouth. I'll probably use Retumbo, just hope I can get enough in the case with the long projectile to get a good velocity.

I use '26 in a vanilla 270Win for 3075-3150 from a 22" Lilja 3-groove depending on Nosler or Rem brass.
