$4 a dozen for eggs!!!!?
I guess Ky. has a few attributes, $1.79 here.
It all evens out...until the gov't get's involved. When did you buy last? $4 here too. Thought i heard wrong when my wife told me that. Heating oil at $5.19 and needs to go higher. The retailer has been absorbing increases out of markup, margup is close to not covering costs. Of course everyone accuses them of gouging, ripping folks off. Folks c ant understand th at these companies would prefer lower prices. High oil costs them, the run trucks. Their profit comes from margins, not retail price. In a good market they could sell for $1.00, have a decent markup, lower costs, sell more fuel, make more money.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

United Steelworkers Local 8888 at Newport News Shipbuilding... employ a huge number of people here.
A good friend told me on Saturday that they just installed a soft serve ice cream machine in the Officer's Lounge.
$360k... and the USN didn't even blink when they authorized.
Not sure if just vanilla... or rainbow...
I will ask.

was doing just fine till I turned 65
Utah/Idaho Teamsters picked my (wife's) insurance tab
Now I'm paying $200+ a month just for me.....off the top of my SSA
Wife's stayed the same

I think the inflation rate JUST LAST MONTH was 8.5% 🤬 August was 8.3% and September is quoted as the 8.5% that you mentioned. Good for COLA and SS recipients in a way but bad for the market. Still no mention of Medicare costs.
