Got my hands on the Golden Anniversary Sako I bought in the classifieds today. Made in 72, unfired, not a mark on it, wanted one for 50 years. I never thought i would own one. Shrap probably has a half dozen.

Thanks Michael

Are you going to hunt and shoot with it or lock it away in a hermetically sealed, mission impossible display case?

Good man! I’m either a collectors best friend or his worst enemy. I shoot anything I own.
For one thing I remove another pristine example from the pool, making the few unsullied ones more valuable.
Or I’m ruining a specimen from the virgin field and I’m a heathen for it.

I watched the guy hand carve this Anniversary model at his desk when I was in Finland in '83 on a plant tour and moose hunt. Trying to remember how many were allocated to be built.... umm 100 as I recall. I'll try and dig out the pics ...took lots of pics on that trip, but with all the problems we are having in getting pics posted dunno if I make that happen.
